LIBRA
Date:
September 23 – October 23
Libra is
the seventh astrological sign in the zodiac. It spans from 180 to 210 celestial
longitude. Like its name, Libra- Liberal, it stands for justice and freedom. This
is well represented in its symbol which happens to be a scale, based on the scales
of justice held by Themis. Themis, is known as the Greek personification of divine
law and custom.
Under tropical
zodiac, the sun moves around Libra, from September 23 to October 23 (northern
autumnal equinox). Automatically, anyone born within this period of time is a
libra. Its ruling planet is Venus, its element is air, and its quality is
cardinal. For libra, Mars and Pluto are its detriment while Saturn is its exaltation
and the sun, is said to be its fall. Libra is considered special, as it happens
to be the only zodiac sign represented by an inanimate object.
Traits:
Libras are
quite special people. Their sign of balance, which even reflects in equal hours
of night and day in its season, gives them an affinity for balance in their
lives. In fact, they are very people oriented and they constantly strive for fairness.
Libras can
be cooperative, diplomatic, gracious, fair-minded and social. They are lovers
of peace and so, they strongly endeavour to live in harmony. Because of their
dislike for conflict, they avoid confrontations at all cost but this is not
usually, always a good thing.
Their fascination
with balance and symmetry causes them to constantly seek justice and equality
for all. Most times, they come to realize that all that is truly important, is who
they really are deep inside and this illumination helps them to stay true to themselves.
Because they are set between the other two air elements, Aquarius and Gemini, they
experience constant mental stimuli which gives them strong intellect and sharp
minds. It is for this reason, that they crave knowledge and are easily
impressed by insurmountable discussions with great individuals and great books
which end up serving as inspiration.
Libras,
despite their wit and zeal, can also be quite indecisive. They also dislike violence,
injustice, conformity and loneliness. Some of their flaws include tendency to
carry grudges and engagement in too many sessions of self pity.
They hate situations
where it seems like their freedom is being taken from them. Most times, they
end up feeling boxed into a corner and inadvertently, lose interest in the
scene and the people altogether. This can be attributed to the fact that they
are strongly opinionated and love free speech.
Because of their
ruling planet, Venus, Libras are lovers of materialistic things, music, art and
beautiful places. However, the awareness that these things pass with time, makes
them insecure and cautious of people. They believe in an higher power.
Relationships:
In love,
they seek a compatible partner above all. They want peace and harmony and this coupled
with their charming personality and dedication, makes them good lovers. However,
the falling sun tends to shake up their emotional world every now and then.
Libras are very
traditional and seek for long lasting relationships, certified by marriage.
They usually choose good spouses but occasionally have to struggle with their independence
and individuality.
In friendship,
libras tend to make friends that are good for their ego, people they could easily
feel better than. However, if the other person
is willing to help them do better, they adjust.
In family,
they are loved by everyone because of their peace loving nature. This, keeps
them out of trouble as they try to avoid conflict by all means.
They are
most compatible with Gemini, Leo, Sagittarius and Aquarius.
Career:
Because of
their penchant for justice, Libras usually make good lawyers and judges. Their
love for peace makes them successful diplomats and their artistic nature births
great composers and designers. Libras are usually financially stable as they never
get to decide what exactly to spend their money on and tend to save more.

ReplyDeleteWoah. Very beautiful design and I love the color combination. Though I'm not libra, I still love their peaceful nature and I love having them as close friends. We tend to blend well together.
